At Sainfort, the focus is not only on excellent cannabis quality, but also on a strong commitment to sustainability. We are aware of the responsibility we bear as a leading producer of high-quality indoor cannabis and therefore focus on the best possible environmental compatibility and resource conservation in every step of our production. Here you can find out how we use innovative measures to minimise our ecological footprint while ensuring the highest flower quality.
A central aspect of our sustainable practice is the reusability of production utensils. At Sainfort, we rely on materials and equipment that can be used multiple times and recycled efficiently.
Our cultivation and processing facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art, durable tools that remain in use for years thanks to regular maintenance and repair.
We have also implemented comprehensive recycling programmes to ensure that all waste generated during the production process is properly separated and recycled.
Through our sustainable practices and the use of environmentally friendly technologies, we actively contribute to reducing the ecological footprint and promote environmentally conscious production.
Our employees are the heart of our company and their continuous training is of the utmost importance to us. At Sainfort, we make sure that our team has the necessary certifications and training to maintain the highest quality standards. We regularly invest in training to ensure that our team is always educated in the sustainable management of our cannabis plants. This includes not only technical training, but also workshops on safety and environmentally conscious practices.
A significant step on our path to sustainability was the installation of the 10,000m2 solar roof on our production building. This measure enables us to produce around a third of the total electricity we need ourselves and reduce our operating costs. The additional electricity required is generated from 100% renewable energies.
At Sainfort, we understand that true sustainability requires a comprehensive approach that encompasses all aspects of our production. From the reusability of our production utensils to the continuous training of our employees and the minimised use of consumables.
We are determined to minimise our ecological footprint and make a positive contribution to the environment. Our efforts include the use of natural cultivation methods, the long-term preservation of the materials used and the minimisation of environmental impact.
Converting our production from sodium vapour lamps (NDL) to LED saves 25% of the energy previously used and the lamps can be used for several years.
All of our green waste goes to the biogas plant. Heat is produced there.
Our 10,000m2 solar panels on the roof of the production plant generate 1.5 million Kwh of electricity every year.
Our grow labs can be used all year round.
The condensation water from the air conditioning system is collected and returned to the irrigation circuit.
We utilise the waste heat to heat the production building.
